The research behind StandingTall

Since 2015, the StandingTall team has worked with over 1,500 community-living older people, co-developing and evaluating a home-based balance exercise program delivered via a tablet computer. This program's success is evident in the 20% reduction in injurious falls and unprecedented sustained adherence to prescribed balance exercises over two years.

StandingTall is an engaging balance training program, specifically designed with and for older people. Developed using the latest insights in geriatric and translational neuroscience, it leverages technology to deliver an effective solution that enhances balance and reduces the risk of falls.

Our research continues to evolve as we seek to deepen our understanding of what works best. Focusing on identifying common fall risk factors and developing sustainable prevention strategies, we take a multidisciplinary approach that empowers older people to embrace healthier ageing and prevent falls.
